What it is
SatisBox is a box of small, separate games built on the pleasure of tidying: sorting coloured objects into matching containers, filling a shape exactly, popping a sheet of bubble wrap one cell at a time.
Nothing here connects to anything else. You open the box, choose a game, finish it and stop.
How it plays
Each mini-game takes a minute or two and ends cleanly. There is no shared score and no progression between them, which is the point.
A few of them have a light difficulty curve within themselves — the sorting game adds colours, the filling game adds awkward shapes — but none of them punishes a mistake.
Controls
Mouse or touch only. Click, drag, release.
The touch version is the more natural of the two; the games were clearly designed with a finger in mind.
What to do first
- Start with the sorting game — it explains the collection's idea in thirty seconds.
- Try each box once before you settle on one. They are short enough that this costs nothing.
Where it trips people up
- There is no save worth protecting and no streak worth defending. If you are looking for progression, it is not in here.
Editorial verdict
Sorting, filling, popping bubble wrap. Undemanding by design, and none the worse for it.
